- Measure of the resistance value
Verify that the resistance value is within the provided tolerance. This is carried out on all of the resistors of the batch.
Equipment used: Milliohmmeter Burster Resistomat mod. 2316
- Insulation resistance test
Performed at a given continuous voltage – 1000 Vdc as a standard – applied between the terminals of the resistor and the metal can, for one minute. The measurement is carried out on 15% of the standard resistors and 100% of the custom resistances.
Equipment used: Tester for Megger insulation resistance mod. MIT 515 – 5kV DC.
- Dielectric rigidity test
Performed at a given alternated voltage, 2500 Veff – 50 Hz as a standard, applied between the terminals of the resistor and the metal can, for one minute. The measurement is carried out on 15% of products in the batch.
Equipment used: Equipment for test of dielectric rigidity equipment Weighing machines mod. EPK 520 – 5kV AC.
Aluminum or galvanized steel. Excellent dissipation and mechanical seal.
Cordierite C410 or Steatite C221. High level of dielectric insulation, maximum thermal conductivity, high resistance to thermal shocks.
- Wire coiling
Nickel-Chromium 80/20. Suitable for applications of industrial resistors with high temperature thermal cycles.
- Connection cables
Glass silicone. High flash point and excellent mechanical resistance to tearing.
Resins and special cement. Excellent heat dissipation and high level of insulation at high temperatures.
